We investigated the Korean braille code currently used through books published in North Korea. The braille, called it Jeomgeulja in North Korea, is based on Park, Doo-Seong s Korean braille code; however, there are several differences in Korean braille code we are utilizing. In this article, we identify and introduce the differences between our Korean braille and north Korean braille code. Results of this study are that north Korean braille code uses less contracted codes than Korean braille code we use, and north Korean braille emphasis on accuracy of expression in different with economical feasibility such as the principal of ah omission, which Korean braille we use stresses. Moreover, some braille codes of hard sound characters such as tween digeud and tween siaus are diverse with Korean braille we use. Nevertheless, all of 37 vowel and consonant sound braille codes are fully equal to Korean braille codes we use. It is an evidence that both braille codes originate from the Korean Braille of Bark, Doo-Seong, and a positive factor that affects unification of these braille codes in advance.
