This study is about the experience of a mother in community education who has grown up children with Down s syndrome. This is an in-depth search for lifetime education experience and application of community resources that lead to the nurturing of a mother who has been taking care of her children with mental retardation for 25 years. We will analyze the experiences of community lifelong education institutions, which were used as support resources in the process of raising children, and lifelong education, which has emerged as a supporter of their lives after school age.
The results show that during the upbringing period, there are 22 “challenges and 16 happiness in the course of lifetime education. This research will be used as a material for developing a program for lifelong education as community resources to help mothers in support of their children to emotionally and socially coexist. In addition, the search for meaning in the life experience of mother caring for disabled children will be a representation of their families and will contribute to supporting efficient family welfare for fulfilling the role of lifelong educational institutions in the community.
