This study is a meta-analysis to quantitatively combine and comprehensively analyze the effects of art therapy programs on enhancing the resilience of children and adolescents in Korea. The study aimed to provide objective and fact-based fundamental data. 37 research from 2010 to 2020 were used for this study, including a total of 627 subjects. Research subjects(ages and types) and program intervention factors(total number of sessions, sessions per week, whether to implement psychotherapy theories) were systematically reviewed, and the relation between the program selection factors and subjects(ages) was analyzed using meta-analysis method. Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 2.0 was used to analyze the data, and the result are as follows. First, the average effect size of art therapy programs for enhancing the resilience of children and adolescents was 1.388, suggesting that art therapy program is an effective approach for enhancing children and adolescents resilience. Second, comparing the effect sizes for different age groups of subjects by categorizing the subjects into children and adolescents, the effect size for children resulted in higher value. Third, the regression model for total number of therapy sessions, which is one of the program selection factors, showed no statistical significance, and two sessions per week without implementing psychotherapy theories appeared more effective. Lastly, implications and future works of the study were discussed.
