To examine the research trends of convergence education , this study collected research papers published in the elementary and secondary education fields from August 2011 to November 2019 and conducted the semantic network analysis. As a result of the analysis, first, four research areas were analyzed in elementary and secondary school convergence education: Curriculum Revision , Education for Convergence Talent , Transforming Education Paradigm in the Future and Humanities Needs . Second, as a result of analyzing the topography of convergence education at the school level, Science Education , STEAM Education , and Field of Education were highlighted in general, In the elementary education, topics related to teacher expertise and performance evaluation were considered relatively important, while research topics related to direct subjects, such as Science Education and Social Studies’, information/technology education, and free semester system were important in the secondary education. According to the time series analysis of convergence education research on the 2015 revised curriculum, topics related to STEAM education received more attention and “Learning Motivation , Performance Assessment, Emotional Experience, and Science Education showed a higher volume in the pre-revision period. On the other hand, topics related to convergence education were evenly studied and topics related to the 2015 revised curriculum, such as Convergence Capability and Training for Convergence Talent , and Reification , Communication , Sympathy , Cooperation and Participation had a larger share in the post-revision period. Finally, this research proposes the expansion of humanities elements, revision of convergence education curriculum reflecting newer demands, and establishing a teacher learning community.
