「A Diary of Journey to Yeong-woel」 reveals Drama therapeutic features very well. The structure of ‘play in the play’ is a kind of tools which able to heal with several layers. And finally She looks like counselor for Jo Dang Jeon. Her transformational process accords to typical drama therapeutic development of ‘Embodiment-Projection-Role’ system. As a fictional hero in ‘play in the play’, male slave tries to fundamental transportation to freeman, but this is confirmed as dangerous trial to death. Dan-jong become to counselee, and he finally find enlightenment to true recognition through puppet playing that was proposed by male and female slaves.
And wooden donkey helps this process thoroughly by reveals her emotion positively. Their road to Yeong-woel have been set on the round floor, and this round-shaped shadow take a function of ritual space that is able to find enlightenment and to reach resurrection.
