Objective: This study examined the effects of collaborative culture on child-care center teachers’ organizational civil behaviors mediating by childcare efficacy and burnout.
Methods: Data were collected from 436 child-care scenter teachers, by using instruments that assess collaborative culture, teachers’ childcare efficacy, burnout, and organizational civil behaviors. Data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlations and structural equation modeling.
Results: First, collaborative culture, teachers’ childcare efficacy, and burnout directly affected organizational civil behaviors. Second, collaborative culture indirectly affected organizational civil behaviors through teachers’ childcare efficacy and burnout. Third, teachers’ childcare efficacy indirectly affected organizational civil behaviors through burnout. Finally, collaborative culture was noted as the most crucial variable for predicting organizational civil behaviors.
Conclusions: This study proposes interventions for improving collaborative culture and teachers’ childcare efficacy. Moreover, decreasing the burnout of child-care center teachers can help organizational civil behaviors.
