Science, humanities, arts and engineering have been distinguished areas since modern eras, but these have been interlinked and are the indispensable areas in the human histories. Architecture as encompassing these areas, can be seen as the product of human influences such as social, economic, scientific, technical and folklore factors that represents the limitations, potential, demands, and purpose of our time. The purpose of this study is to provide a reflecting point on the view of architecture in the category of school art education and starting discussion on what the educational value of architecture should be in terms of human life and cultural understanding. This study first examines preceding studies regarding the institutionalization of basic architecture education presented by architectural experts and policy makers, and analyzes architecture related contents in elementary and secondary school art textbooks to discuss the education application of the field. The results of this study serve as a educational view that should be discussed before the policy presenting a ‘Basic Architecture Education’ for the public, as well as a first step for contents designing on school art curriculum during the settlement process,
