The purpose of this study was to explore the meaning of art therapist s experience in the art-based supervision process. After decades of art therapy, I became increasingly convinced of the creativity of art therapist s creativity. The supervision of art-based therapy was conducted 10 times, for three hours a week, from September to December 2019. Of the 15 art therapists who voluntarily participated in supervision, nine voluntarily decided to participate in the research. Due to COVID-19, the narrative of supervision was explored by on-line. This supervision process was naturally connected to self-work, and this experience was intended to reveal the nature of art therapists supervision experience by using the qualitative research method of narrative inquiry. The art-based art therapy supervision with art therapists served as a “playground for art therapists” and “All art, such as writing, gesture, music and images belonged to the art therapists themselves”. Furthermore, “through experiences of art-based supervision of the art therapy, art therapists were connected with clients in therapy sessions”. There was a respect for and authenticity of the art image among the art therapists.
