본 연구는 전 생애에 걸친 인간 발달 과정에서 심리·사회적인 적응과 성격형성의 근간이 되는 ‘기질’이 성인기 정신적 안녕감에 어떻게 관계하는지 알아보고자, 국내 20대에서 50대 이상 성인 912명의 ‘성인용 기질 척도(ATS)척도’ 설문결과를 잠재계층으로 분석하고, 정신적 안녕감을 진단범주에 따라 구분하여 기질유형과 정신적 안녕감 수준 간의 관계와 차이를 확인하였다. 기질 잠재 프로파일은 총 4개 계층으로, ‘활동성, 행동억제, 긍정정서, 부정정서, 의도적 통제, 사회적 민감성’ 6요인 기질의 수준별 특성에 따라 ‘냉담한 활동가’, ‘인내하는 조절가’, ‘유순한 공감가’, ‘내성적 친화형’유형으로 명명되었다. 이 기질유형을 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 정신적 안녕감 진단 범주 ‘번영, 양호, 쇠약’의 3가지 집단에 속할 확률을 분석한 결과, ‘번영’에는 ‘냉담한 활동가’, ‘쇠약’에는 ‘유순한 공감가’ 유형이 주로 속했다. 또한 유형별 기질적 속성과 안녕감 범주에 따른 차이를 분석하여, 성인기의 ‘활동성’기질과 ‘의도적 통제’기질의 의미를 해석하고 선행연구를 고찰하였다. 따라서 성인의 기질 요인별 수준은 고유한 개인 내적인 역동성을 지니는 유형적 특성으로 나타나며, 각 기질유형은 정신적 안녕감과 밀접한 관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구가 전 생애에 걸쳐 삶의 행복에 주요하게 영향을 미치는 성인기 기질의 이해를 돕는 연구이기를 바라며 제언과 후속 연구를 논의하였다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze how the adult temperament , which is the fundamental traits of psychological adaptation and personality development, affects mental health in the process of human development throughout the lifespan. First, the types of substrates were classified through Latent Profile Analysis(LCA) using validated scale: Apathetic and Active Character , Restrained and Regulatory Character , Gentle and Empathetic Character , Introspective and Friendly Character . Second, the characteristics of each type were analyzed and confirmed. The results of this study were analyzed by polynomial logistic regression analysis according to group classification according to ‘mental health diagnosis category . As a result, the probability that each type belongs to the group was identified, and the difference and characteristics according to the temperamental attribute and the well-being of life were analyzed. Based on the results of the study, the limitations of the study and suggestions and implications for follow-up research were discussed.
