The purpose of this study is to conduct education based on culture and arts, which has recently been attracting attention from an integrated perspective of learners knowledge and life, in order to solve the educational problem that university students learning action research focused excessively on efficiency and employment means, and to find its educational significance and implications. The research was progressed with a qualitative study. By directly experiencing problems in the educational field, the focus was on action research aimed at grasping the meaning and improving it. The contents of the research are as follows. First, how is the content of the liberal arts curriculum based on culture and art composed? Second, how are liberal arts curriculum based on culture and art applied and practiced in the educational field? Lastly, what are the pedagogical significance and implications of culture and arts education constructed and implemented in this way? By composing works of art selected as text into educational content and practicing them as learning activities, the following educational significance and implications could be found. First, arts and culture education contributes to the cultivation of contextual thinking and the expansion of sensitivity, and creates specific contexts and situations for immediate response and participation. Second, Empathetic knowledge based on artistic perception completes knowledge education by providing perceptual materials through imagery. Third, it contributes to the cultivation of morality through sympathetic imagination and the purification and edification of the mind through arts.
