‘Digital technology’ and ‘participation’ represent current society that connect and exchange through online in non-contact society caused by COVID-19. The changes era are key components of local community, affecting museums responsible for preserving local heritage, and practicing participatory museums for active communication with community. For participatory museum to have active participation, instructional design and practical steps are required for members to cooperate and participate in achieving goal. This research attempted to propose specific approach for community‐connected participatory museum to connect with communication, exchange and active discussion. As a practical approach for participatory museums, six stages of learning and detailed activities were derived, taking into account the ubiquitous learning environment reflecting the characteristics of the post-COVID-19 era, and organizational and cultural characteristics of museum staff, along with community-connected participatory learning. In conclusion, for learners in post COVID-19 era, this study tried to explore possibility of community‐connected participatory museum as practical education method in community.
