본 연구에서는 이 시대의 새로운 과학혁명, 즉 4차 산업혁명과 종교교육에 주목하였다. 4차 산 업혁명 시대에 있어서 종교교육의 방향이 어디로 향해야 하는지 가장 근본적인 문제를 제기하면 서, 종교적 세계관과 과학적 세계관이 각각 인간의 삶에 미치고 있는 영향력을 시간적, 공간적, 그 리고 감각적 관점에서 살펴보았다. 과학기술이 부여한 세계관과 종교적 세계관이 부딪치는 갈등양 상을 시⋅공간의 한계를 넘어서는 초월성 추구에 대한 문제와 감각의 극대화를 통한 내재화 문제 로 구분하였다. 나아가 본 연구에서는 종교교육이 지향해야 할 점으로 개인화의 극복과 감각의 회 복 그리고 공동체 의식의 강화를 제시하였다. 시간, 공간 그리고 감각에 대한 종교교육적 대응은 초월성의 내재화를 위한 단초로서 자기 인식에 있음을 살펴보았다. 또한 본 연구에서는 자기 인식 을 확장시키기 위한 공동체 의식 교육을 종교의례적 범주에서 고찰하였다. 이로써 4차 산업혁명에 따른 종교의 수동적 대응을 넘어서, 종교와 과학을 해석학적 순환의 연속성에서 종교교육의 방향 과 필요성을 본 연구에서 살펴보았다.
This research concentrates on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is a new scientific revolution of this period of time. While raising the fundamental issue on where the direction of a religious education is heading to in the world of the fourth Industrial revolution, this research also explores the impact of religious world view and scientific world view towards the human life in temporal, spatial and sensual perspectives. The aspect of conflict between science technology world view and religious world view is separated into the pursuit of transcendence overcoming the limitations of time and space and The internalization through the maximization of sense. Furthermore this research reinforces the aim of religious education as recovering individualization, restoring senses and reinforcing the community spirit. The religious educational response towards time, space and sense resides in the self awareness of which could be the beginning of the internalization of transcendence. Also this research considers the education of community spirit for the expanse of self awareness within the religious ceremonial category. Consequently, this research examines the direction of a religious education in accordance with the continuity of analytical cycle of religion and science and its necessity, beyond the reactive response of religion in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
