Education has been said to make ‘us’ human beings. But, one big problem in maintaining this maxim in reality is that not all knowledge or norms learned are right and impeccable. It is especially true for ‘the sex discrimination in education’ which leads to sexual inequality and is ultimately responsible for inciting all other sexually unequal social environments. Sexual discrimination has been long considered as one of the biggest obstacles that hinder development and well-being of society. And recently it has been argued against more generally as something very in-human and non-ethical. Therefore, it is necessitated for us to do “gender-equality education” consistently in order to help people to well-understand the right concept of “sexes” and ultimately to solve the sexual inequality caused by sexual discrimination on a reasonal and efficient basis. This paper explores a new interpretation about gender equality centered on the Daesoon thoughts of EumYanghapdeok and Haewonsangsaeng that daesoonjinrihoe ideological background on gender equality, such as gender stereotypes and gender discrimination of inequality that you’re having a female gender(性) in distorted recognition. Haewonsangsaeg is Jongji(宗旨) of the most significant proportion in the doctrine of daesoon thoughts, includes that release the accumulated won(冤)) and sangsaeng(相生).
