The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among understanding Zen, the doctrine of Buddhism and Practical attitude. The subjects were 130 students of Dongguk University in Gyeungju-city whose major was Early Childhood Education. Frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, T-test, and Pearson's correlation were used for data analysis. The results were as follows: first, the level of the students' understanding of Zen was the lowest factor among understanding Zen, the doctrine of Buddhism and Practical attitude. The Buddhist students' level of understanding Zen, doctrine of Buddhism and Practical attitude were significantly higher than non-Buddhist students' except those on a practical Zen course. Second, the higher students' understanding of Zen or doctrine of Buddhism showed a higher Practical attitude. Third, the relationships among the understanding of Zen and doctrine of Buddhism and Practical Attitude of Students showed a significant correlation.
