This study aims to develop an educational program of Bioart based on posthumanism, arouse interest in the concept of life and improve the sense of community by applying the program to the expression domain class of high school curriculum. Posthumanism suggests coexistence with non-human beings beyond the black and white thinking of humanism. The educational effects achieved from this program are as follows.
First, the program enhanced the students’ understanding of contemporary art through Bio Art. Second, it cultivated both creative and convergence capabilities through subject-integrated art activities. Third, it strengthen the future competency through posthumanism. It is required to encourage this study in the future by exploring the bio media expression program in depth, extending art education based on posthumanism, and connecting with other subjects in depth to convergence elective course in the high school credit system. This study wishes to develop the instructional plan of encouraging the value of respect and solidarity, and competence to the forthcoming future by discussing Bio Art from the perspective of posthumanism.
