This study began with a sense of problem that Social Studies have so far aimed at cultivating rational citizenship, but there was a limit to systematically understanding complex problems and specifically suggesting solutions. The researcher paid attention to system thinkings as one of the alternatives to solving this problem. Students can understand the problem in depth by analyzing the relationship between variables related to social problems through systems thinking and find a problem-solving method based on this. Accordingly, in this study, the meaning and method of systems thinking were investigated through analysis of previous studies, and an elementary social studies class model applied with systems thinking was presented. The social studies class stage applying systems thinking is confirmation of problems -> acquisition of basic knowledge -> system model design -> review of system model -> suggestion, implementation, and reflection of solutions . The instructional lessons applying this model in this study correspond to the 15-17th session of Unit 2 of the elementary 6-2 textbook. In this study, by applying this model, the part corresponding to the 4th hour of searching for solutions to global environmental problems was reconstructed from the contents of the second part of the 6-2 textbook for elementary school where the achievement standard [6S08-05] was realized.
