지금 우리의 음악교육은 ‘2022 개정 음악과 교육과정’의 개발과정 중에 있다. 이 교육과정의 개발은 앞으로의 음악과 교육의 목적 및 목표, 내용과 방법,평 가 등의 방향과 척도를 결정하는 중요한 사안이다. 이때 더욱 요구되는 것이 지난날 교육과정의 성찰과 미래 사회를 대비할 수 있는 음악 교육적 혜안이다. 이홍수 명예교수는 한국음악교육을 대표하는 원로학자로서 우리나라 음악교육발전과 함께해 온 역사적 산증인이다. 그와의 대담을 통해 바람직한 음악과 교육과정의 체계, 내용 및 방법 등을 들어보았다. 특히, 이홍수 교수는 ‘음악과 교육과정 개정은 교과 교육의 본질화, 현대화, 체계화, 정교화의 과정이다’라고 역설하였다. 이는 현행 개발 중인 2022 개정 음악과 교육 과정뿐 아니라, 바람직한 미래의 음악과 교육과정을 위한 하나의 지계석으로 작용할 것이다.
Currently, our music education is in the process of developing the 2022 Revised Music Curriculum. Developing this curriculum is an important issue that determines the direction and scale of future music and education goals, content and method, and evaluation. What is more required at this time is the reflection of the past curriculum and the musical educational insight that can prepare for the future society. Emeritus Professor Ph. D. Lee Hong-soo is an honorary professor representing Korean music education and is a living witness who has been with the development of music education in Korea. Through his conversation, I listened to the system, content, and method of the desirable music and curriculum. In particular, Professor Lee Hong-soo emphasized that 'the revision of the music curriculum is a process of intrinsicalization, modernization, systematization, and elaboration of subject education.' It will serve as a grounding stone for the desirable future music and curriculum and the 2022 revised music curriculum currently being developed.
