In today's era of digital transformation, visual culture art education is actively utilizing creative expression and communication methods through digital technology beyond the existing method. Accordingly, this study is conducted based on the need for art education in the practical field due to the rapid change in digitized communication. Therefore, considering that modern society is built with visual symbols, and in order to be able to interpret them critically, visual culture and art education using video, one of visual culture, was implemented, and students' communication skills were observed. This study was conducted targeting third graders of elementary school, and the core elements of visual culture art education using video can be summarized as the use and exploration of visual images, critical interpretation, communication, and empathy. After the class was completed, students were able to discover significant educational meanings in terms of improving communication skills through critical understanding and utilization and communication skills as producers.
