본 탐구는 가족미술치료의 과정을 스마트 폰으로 동영상 촬영하고 부모상담에서 그 동영상을 활용하여 치료사와 부모가 무엇을 경험하는지, 또 그러한 부모상담이 가족에게 어떠한 치료적 의미가 있는지 이야기하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 연구자의 미술치료센터에서 만난 내담아동의 가족 중에서 참여자 가족을 목적 표집하였다. 참여자 가족의 경험을 의미를 살펴보기 위해 질적연구의 한 방법인 내러티브 탐구(Narrative inquiry)를 사용하여 부모상담의 경험의 의미를 발견하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2019년 1월에서 2월까지 가족미술치료는 매주 총 6회기로 1시간 30분, 부모상담은 회기 사이에 총 4회 1시간씩 지난 회기 동영상을 보며 진행하였다. 그 경험의 의미는 가족미술치료에서 동영상을 통한 부모상담은‘부모와 치료사가 가족만의 암호를 풀어가는 것이다’,‘부모와 치료사가 보는 것에 함께 책임을 가지는 것이다’,‘부모와 치료사가 함께 마중물을 붓는 것이다’라는 의미들이 형성되었다.
This inquiry included a smartphone video recorded during family art therapy. The video was then used in a parental counseling session to identify what the therapist and parents experienced and what the counseling means for the family. Participants were purposefully selected from families of children at the researcher’s art therapy center. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the meaning of parental counseling using narrative inquiry, a method of qualitative research, to learn the experiences of the families. This study was conducted from January to February 2019, with six 90 minute sessions of family art therapy every week and four 60 minute sessions of parental counseling between sessions. The definitive meaning of the experience was that parental counseling in family art therapy included “parents and therapist solving the family’s own code,” “parents and therapist take responsibility together” and “parents and therapist’s pouring together priming water”.
