This study investigated the effects of group art therapy on the self-regulation and resilience of Chinese students in Korea. They were randomly assigned to experimental group A, experimental group B, and control group. To increase the reliability and validity of the study, the analysis of covariance and a paired-samples t-test were conducted on the pre- and post-test scores of the experimental group and the control group. The research instruments were the Integral Self-Regulation Scale and the Korean version of the Resilience Scale. The group art therapy program consisted of 8 sessions, lasting 90 minutes twice a week by Wen Bang Sau (文房四友) as the main material, which was familiar to Chinese students. The results of the study were as follows. First, the analysis of covariance for self-regulation scores showed that the difference in goal-seeking factors was statistically significant. Second, the differences in the scores of overall resilience, perseverance, and optimism between the two groups were statistically significant. Therefore, the group art therapy was effective in goal pursuit, perseverance, optimism, and overall resilience of Chinese students. Based on these findings, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed
