This study aimed to investigate the importance of digital platform-based group art therapy experiences in promoting clinical nurses’ self-care during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants were 13 clinical nurses with six months to over one year of nursing experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through four sessions of group art therapy, including artwork photographs, written reflections, clinical journals, in-depth interview recordings, and field notes. The data were analyzed using Creswell’s(2017) five-step qualitative data analysis method, the results findings revealed 6 major themes and 13 sub-themes. Based on this, the significance of the case study of digital platform-based group art therapy considering the specialized and unique characteristics of clinical nurses were summarized as follows: Firstly, clinical nurses were able to experience a sense of solidarity with feeling homogeneity as nurses, even in situations of limited mobility due to the COVID-19 and professional difficulties, through digital platform-based group art therapy for self-care. Secondly, the digital platform-based group art therapy demonstrated positive changes in individual mental health, for supporting their self-awareness and self-regulation. Thirdly, this study revealed that nurses became aware of their needs and values and understood the importance of balance and life. The significance and limitations of this study were discussed based on these contents.
