본 연구는 보건복지부에서 실시한 한국아동종합실태조사(2018)의 초등학교 6학년(4학년 패널 3차년 자료 사용)을 대상으로 초등학교 고학년의 정서문제, 학업열의, 삶의 만족도의 구조적 관계를 분석하고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구문제는 첫째, 초등학교 고학년의 정서문제의 하위 요인은 학업열의 및 삶의 만족도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가? 둘째, 초등학교 고학년의 정서문제, 학업열의, 삶의 만족도 사이에는 어떠한 관계가 있는가? 셋째, 초등학교 고학년의 학업열의는 정서문제와 삶의 만족도의 관계를 어떻게 매개하는가? 이다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 중다회귀분석과 Bootstrapping과 더불어 구조방정식 모형을 추정하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 초등학교 고학년의 정서문제의 하위요인은 학업열의 및 삶의 만족도에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학교 고학년들은 정서문제와 학업열의, 삶의 만족도 사이에는 서로 유의한 상관을 보이고, 변인 간 구조적 관계 모형은 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 초등학교 고학년생의 정서문제는 학업열의 및 삶의 만족도에 부적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 학업열의는 삶의 만족도에 정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학교 고학년생의 학업열의는 정서문제와 삶의 만족도의 관계 사이에서 부분매개효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 제언 하면, 아동기에서 청소년기로 전환되는 시점에 있는 초등학교 고학년의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 무엇보다 정서문제 상황에서의 가정 및 학교에서 교육 주체 간 긍정적 상호작용이 지속될 수 있도록 제도적 지원과 사회적 분위기를 형성하도록 하고, 학업열의를 높이기 위해 학업과 관련된 흥미를 가질 수 있도록 교육 및 상담기법 적용과 다양한 학습동기부여 향상 프로그램 개발 및 운영 등에 대해 사시하는 바를 논의하였다.
This study attempted to analyze the structural relationship between emotional problems, academic enthusiasm, and life satisfaction of senior elementary school students in the 6th grade of elementary school (using 3rd year data of 4th grade panel) conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (2018). Specific research questions First, how do the sub-factors of emotional problems in the upper grades of elementary school affect academic enthusiasm and life satisfaction? Second, what is the relationship between emotional problems, academic enthusiasm, and life satisfaction in the upper grades of elementary school? Third, how does academic enthusiasm of the upper grades of elementary school mediate the relationship between emotional problems and life satisfaction? To verify this, a structural equation model was estimated along with multiple regression analysis and bootstrapping. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the sub-factors of emotional problems in the upper grades of elementary school significantly affected academic enthusiasm and life satisfaction. Second, senior elementary school students showed a significant correlation between emotional problems, academic enthusiasm, and life satisfaction, and the structural relationship model between variables was found to be suitable. Emotional problems of senior elementary school students were found to have a negative effect on academic enthusiasm and life satisfaction, and academic enthusiasm was found to have a positive effect on life satisfaction. Third, it was confirmed that the academic enthusiasm of senior elementary school students had a partial mediating effect between the relationship between emotional problems and life satisfaction. Based on the above results, it suggests that in order to increase the life satisfaction of elementary school seniors at the point of transition from childhood to adolescence, it is necessary to continue positive interactions between educational subjects in emotional situations, and to increase academic enthusiasm.
