About 10 years have passed since pre-service teachers in Korea began being required to complete teaching profession course of special education. At this juncture, this study attempted to identify effective teaching elements through review of articles dealing with the teaching effects of the relevant teaching profession course, and to suggest ways to improve the teacher training course for successful inclusive education. To this end, 17 studies were selected among related studies published in Korea from 2010 to the present in order to analyze them according to the teaching content, teaching method, and teaching effect criteria. As a result, first, the most frequently dealt with content in special education and inclusive education related teaching profession course was the basics of special education, teaching strategies, and cooperation. Second, as the teaching method, the lecture format was used most. Third, as a teaching effect, changes in perceptions and attitudes toward the people with disability and inclusive education were reported most often. Based on the teaching elements of the teaching profession course identified as a result of the analysis, this study discussed future tasks for the effective management of special education and inclusive education related teaching profession course at universities that foster general education pre-service teachers who will be responsible for future inclusive education.
