The purpose of this study is to explore the expectation and value perception of pre-service teachers teaching classes by applying semantic network analysis. For this purpose, data were collected using open questionnaires targeting 334 pre-service teachers. Keywords, centrality index, and bigrams were extracted through the collected data and the main results were visualized. The results were as follows: First, regarding the expectation of teaching class, ‘student is located in the middle of the cognitive structure and forms the relationship and connection strength based on the words ‘theory , ‘school site , ‘class contents , and ‘applied method . In addition, the main expectation was pedagogical theory linked to the school site, teaching methods that can be applied to actual students, various types of teaching methods, contents that are helpful for the appointment examination in general, and actual cases and feedback of professors. Second, regarding the value of teaching teaching, ‘thought is located in the middle of the cognitive structure and it forms the relationship and connection strength based on the words of ‘teacher , ‘understanding students , ‘guide , and ‘education . Also, it was found that the time to think about forming a view of education, the curriculum to become a professional teacher, the idea of the professor s education, the understanding of student psychology through the theory of pedagogy, and the guidance and counseling about the problem situation of the class were important. The results of this study are expected to be used as useful information for practical directions such as educational meaning and class plan of teaching classes for university teaching professors.
