The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the characteristics and meanings of ‘good early childhood teachers’ recognized by early childhood teachers by career, using a semantic network analysis method. To this end, data were collected through open-question questionnaires, and the frequency and centrality were analyzed utilizing of NetMiner program. The results were as follows. First, the early childhood teachers recognized ‘Good early childhood teacher with the words such as ‘Love , ‘Interaction , ‘Eye level , ‘Development support , and ‘Warm heart . Second. Early childhood teachers perceptions about ‘Good early childhood teacher differed by career. Specifically, in the 1st-3rd years, “patience” was recognized as important to overcome the difficulties caused by a lack of teaching experience as a novice teacher and showed “survival and development phase” characteristics. In the 4th-7th years, it is found that teachers who are good at understanding early children are recognized as good teachers. In the 8th-10th years, it focused on the importance of teachers expertise and showed the characteristics of “experimental and activism” in the phase of teacher development. In the 11th-19th years, the results showed an inclusive attitude, a characteristic of “equality and conservatism,” and in the 20th and above, teachers had more extended views of support for early childhood education, especially the cooperation between institutions and families.
