This study aims to suggest that the object and the purpose of teacher reflection should be transferred to teacher the self. Most of the existing teacher reflection has aimed to obtain practical knowledge for the teacher’s professional development. Yet the reflection of subject knowledge, teaching environment, and teaching methods and strategies for practical knowledge has mainly focused on teaching actions, so this research explores to prove, through self-study, that the reflection should be extended or turned to teacher inner self. For this, the study uses teaching journals as primary data and tells the researcher’s experiences with reflection questions in the delivery of subject knowledge, instructional progress, the use of English(foreign language), and the interaction with students. Depending on Parker Palmer’s educational philosophy, the researcher practices and proves herself that teaching is to show teacher the self, and shows that she has considerably got over her fear and a sense of horror and now feels much more peaceful in her teaching. Finally, the study discusses its implications on teacher reflection and teacher education.
