This study aims to analyze research trends on Korean youth addiction through keyword network analysis and identify future research directions to address this issue. To achieve this, 935 studies published between 1995 and 2024, which include 'youth' and 'addiction' in the keywords of the title or abstract, were analyzed. From these studies, 4,154 keywords, categorized into 1,634 distinct types, were extracted for further analysis. Keyword frequency and centrality analysis were conducted to explore trends in addiction types and their evolution over time. The key findings are as follows. First, the most frequent keywords were 'youth,' 'internet addiction,' 'smartphone addiction,' 'game addiction,' and 'depression.' Second, centrality analysis identified key addiction types and psychological factors, which showed consistent trends in keyword frequency and ranking. Third, research focused on internet, smartphone, and game addiction, with a shift in research topics over time from smartphones and gambling to internet and mobile phone addiction. Finally, the study's key findings are discussed, along with an acknowledgment of its limitations and suggestions for future research in the field of youth addiction.
