본 연구는 중-고 전환기 청소년의 시간에 따른 그릿, 친구관계, 부모관계 간 안정성 및 종단적 예측력을 검증하고자 하였다. 한국아동･청소년패널조사(KCYPS) 2018의 3, 4, 5차 연도 자료를 활용하여, 2,094명의 청소년들을 대상으로 연구 변수 간 자기회귀 효과 및 교차지연 효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 중3-고1-고2 세 시점에 걸쳐 전환기 청소년의 그릿, 친구관계, 부모관계의 자기회귀 효과는 모두 유의하게 나타나, 선행 시점의 그릿, 친구관계, 부모관계가 후행 시점에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 그릿과 친구관계 간 그리고 친구관계와 부모관계 간의 교차지연 효과는 유의하였으며, 시점 간 종단적 상호작용이 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 선행 시점의 부모관계는 후행 시점의 그릿을 유의하게 예측하지 못하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 청소년의 그릿 향상 및 건강한 친구관계, 부모와의 긍정적 관계 유지를 위한 지원 방안에 대해 제언하였다.
This study employed autoregressive cross-lagged modeling (ARCL) to examine the stability and longitudinal predictive relationships among grit, friendships, and parental relationships in adolescents during their transition from middle to high school. Utilizing data from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th waves of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018, the study analyzed autoregressive and cross-lagged effects across 2,094 adolescents. The findings are as follows: First, grit, friendships, and parental relationships exhibited significant autoregressive effects, indicating that these factors at earlier time points significantly influenced the same variables at later time points. Second, the cross-lagged effects between grit and friendships, as well as between friendships and parental relationships, were statistically significant, highlighting the dynamic longitudinal interplay among these variables. However, parental relationships did not significantly predict grit across three time points. These results underscored the importance of supports to foster adolescents’ grit, sustain healthy friendships, and promote positive parental relationships during critical developmental transitions.
