본 연구는 노인 문화예술교육의 세분화 필요성에 따라, 미술관에서 진행하는 대화 중심 감상 프로그램이 액티브 시니어의경험에 미치는 영향을 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 내 관련 기관에서 50~70대 액티브 시니어 참여자 12명을 대상으로 총 10회기 프로그램을 설계·운영하고, 참여관찰, 심층 대화, 설문조사를 통해 질적 분석을 수행했다. 그 결과, 참여자들은 은퇴 후의 삶, 대인관계, 긍정적 가치관을 토대로 작품을 감상하며, 대화를 통해 적극적으로 관점을 구체화하고 사고의 폭을 확장하는 개방적 태도를 보였다. 또한 서로의 감상과 경험에 공감하며 사회적 유대감을 형성했다. 이들은 충분한 대화시간, 강사의 전문성, 미술관 현장성을 긍정적으로 평가했다. 연구 참여자들의 높은 만족도와 지속적인 참여 의지는 해당 프로그램이 액티브 시니어의 삶과 성장에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤음을 시사한다. 이에 본 연구는 원활한 프로그램 운영을 위해 강사의 전문 역량 강화, 구체적인 운영 방안 마련, 가치 중심 콘텐츠 기획, 기관 차원의 지원과 교육 대상 확대의 필요성을 제언한다. 이를 통해 초고령화 사회에서 노인 문화예술교육의 방향성을 모색하는 데 기여하고자 한다.
This study explores the impact of a conversation-based art appreciation program at art museums on the experiences of active seniors. A 10-session program was conducted with 12 participants aged 50-70 from related institutions in Seoul. Qualitative analysis was based on participant observation, in-depth interviews, and surveys. The study found that participants appreciated artworks through their post-retirement life, relationships, and positive values, showing an open attitude through discussions that refine perspectives and expand thinking. They also shared experiences and built social bonds, positively evaluating sufficient discussion time, the instructor's expertise, and the museum setting. High satisfaction and willingness to participate suggest that the program had a positive impact on participants' lives and growth. The study proposes the need for enhanced instructor expertise, specific operational strategies, value-centered content planning, and institutional support, contributing to the development of elderly cultural arts education in an aging society.
