[Objective] The Fourth Industrial Revolution refers to the new society of mankind. This provided an opportunity for new awareness and concern about the future society, and the possibility that the current school education could be eliminated if the efforts of innovation were not made in school education. From this point of view, Artificial Intelligence Digital Textbooks (AIDT) is attracting attention. [Contents] In particular, AIDT is expected to contribute to resolving the educational gap that has been pointed out as a chronic problem in our education. AIDT is an extension of textbooks and refers to smart learning tools such as digitized book functions into textbooks and support for student-specific learning through AI. This will be combined with VR / AR and metabus to lead future education. AIDT supports learners with personalized learning, real-time feedback and learning coaching, global collaboration, and supports teachers in classroom design and classroom learning evaluation management. However, AIDT also includes disadvantages such as securing high-end digital devices, technical stability and security issues of the Internet, problems of digital addiction, health problems, and ethical issues. [Conclusions] In order to utilize this effectively, it is necessary to complement the shortcomings of AIDT, and concrete and diverse support systems and programs should be steadily implemented in the long term so that learners can grow through learning.
