본 연구는 AI 디지털 교과서의 검정 기준과 보편적 학습 설계(Universal Design for Learning, UDL) 적용 가능성을 분석하여, 다양한 학습자의 요구를 반영한 포괄적 학습 환경을 조성하는 데 필요한 개선 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. AI 디지털 교과서는 인공지능 기술을 활용해 학습자 맞춤형 학습 경로를 제공하고, 다양한 멀티미디어 자료를 통해 학습의 효율성을 높이는 혁신적 도구로 자리 잡고 있다. 그러나 UDL의 표현, 행동 및 표현, 참여라는 세 가지 원칙이 기술적으로 완벽히 구현되지 못하고 있으며, 접근성의 일관성과 기능적 지원에 한계가 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 AI 디지털 교과서의 접근성 기능을 개선하고, 교사와 학생들이 디지털 도구를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 지원 체계를 강화해야 한다고 제안한다. AI 디지털 교과서의 지속적인 품질 관리와 사용자 피드백을 바탕으로, 향후 더욱 포괄적이고 접근 가능한 학습 환경을 구축할 수 있는 방향을 모색하였다.
This study aims to analyze the evaluation criteria of artificial intelligence (AI) digital textbooks and the applicability of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to propose improvement measures required for creating an inclusive learning environment that addresses the needs of diverse learners. AI digital textbooks utilize AI to offer personalized learning paths and enhance learning efficiency through several multimedia resources, establishing themselves as innovative educational tools. However, it was found that the three core principles of representation, action and expression, and engagement have not been completely implemented in technical terms, with limitations in accessibility consistency and functional support. To overcome these challenges, this study suggests improving the accessibility features of AI digital textbooks and strengthening the support systems that enable teachers and students to use digital tools effectively. Furthermore, to build a more inclusive and accessible learning environment in the future, this study proposes ensuring continuous quality management and incorporating user feedback.
