This study is an exploration of a learning and cultural community composed of parents and their children that parents living in Chuncheon and Wonju, Gangwon-do have created and cultivated for the past 16 years. It analyzes the contextualization of the parents' education of their children and their experiences and meanings within the community. For the study, focus group interviews (FGIs) were conducted with 13 parent who had participated in the academy for more than two years and had recommended the academy to three or more people. The findings showed that. First, parents' contextualization of their children's education reflected their daily lives. Second, trust and belief among members were formed through community experience, which led to the restoration of the parent-child relationship that parents hoped for. Third, in the community, parents felt that they were growing up with their children, and this experience led to the subjective participation of parents, making the community sustainable.
