본 연구는 학교 밖 청소년의 우울에 관련이 있는 요인을 규명하기 위해 국내 연구를 대상으로 체계적 문헌분석을 수행하였다. 2011년부터 2025년 8월까지 발표된 학술지 및 석⋅박사 학위논문 33편을 분석하였으며, PRISMA 지침을 준수하고 생태체계이론에 기반해 변인을 개인체계, 미시체계, 외체계, 거시체계로 분류하였다. 분석 결과 101개 변인 중 개인⋅미시체계 변인이 가장 빈번하게 나타났고, 주요 보호변인은 자아존중감, 자아탄력성, 부모⋅또래 애착, 사회적 지지였다. 반면 사회적 낙인감, 부모의 방임⋅학대, 스마트폰 과의존, 진로장벽은 위험변인으로 확인되었으며, 특히 사회적 낙인감은 19편에서 반복적으로 보고되었다. 이러한 결과는 학교 밖 청소년의 우울이 개인 심리, 가족⋅또래 관계, 지역사회와 사회적 낙인 등 다층적 요인이 복합적으로 작용한 결과임을 시사한다.
This study examines a systematic literature review to identify factors related to depression among out-of-school adolescents in South Korea. A total of 33 peer-reviewed journal articles and master’s and doctoral theses published between 2011 and August 2025 were analyzed in accordance with PRISMA(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines. Based on ecological systems theory, variables were categorized into individual, microsystem, exosystem, and macrosystem levels. Among the 101 identified variables, those at the individual and microsystem levels appeared most frequently. Major protective factors included self-esteem, resilience, parental and peer attachment, and social support, whereas social stigma, parental neglect and abuse, smartphone overdependence, and career barriers were identified as risk factors. Notably, social stigma emerged consistently across nineteen studies as a key risk variables. These findings suggest that depression in out-of-school adolescents results from the complex interplay of multilayered factors, including individual psychological characteristics, family and peer relationships, community contexts, and broader social stigmas.
