본 연구는 초등학교 고학년 학생이 지각한 부모의 역기능적 양육태도와 대인관계 민감성의 관계에서 자녀의 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기자비의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 수도권의 초등학교에 재학 중인 5~6학년 학생들에게 부모의 동의를 얻어 온라인 설문조사에 참여하도록 하였다. 설문조사는 아동이 지각하는 역기능적 부모 양육태도, 대인관계 민감성, 사회부과 완벽주의, 자기자비를 묻는 총 104개 문항으로 구성되었으며, 총 269명으로부터 수집된 자료에 대하여 기술통계 및 상관분석, 구조방정식 모형검증, 팬텀 변수를 활용한 부트스트래핑 절차를 통해 순차적 매개효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 역기능적 부모 양육태도와 대인관계 민감성을 제외하고 각 변인의 상관관계는 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 역기능적 부모 양육태도는 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기자비에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 사회부과 완벽주의는 자기자비에, 자기자비는 대인관계 민감성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 역기능적 부모 양육태도가 자기자비를 통해 대인관계 민감성에 영향을 주는 매개효과가 유의하였다. 마지막으로, 역기능적 부모 양육태도가 사회부과 완벽주의와 자기자비를 거쳐 대인관계 민감성에 이르는 순차적인 매개효과가 유의하였다. 마지막으로 연구결과의 의미와 교육·상담적 개입에 관해 논의하였으며, 연구의 의의 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
This study was to examine the sequential mediating effects of socially prescribed perfectionism and self-compassion on the relationship between elementary school students' perceived dysfunctional parenting styles and their interpersonal sensitivity. For the study, fifth and sixth grade students in Seoul and the metropolitan area were asked to complete an online survey with parental consent. The survey assessed elementary students’ perceived dysfunctional parenting styles, interpersonal sensitivity, socially prescribed perfectionism, and self-compassion. Data from a total of 269 children were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, structural equation modeling, and bootstrapping with phantom variables. The results were as followings. First, significant correlations were found among all variables except dysfunctional parenting styles and interpersonal sensitivity. Second, dysfunctional parenting styles significantly influenced socially prescribed perfectionism and self-compassion. Third, socially prescribed perfectionism significantly influenced self-compassion, and self-compassion significantly influenced interpersonal sensitivity. Fourth, the mediating effect of self-compassion between dysfunctional parenting styles and interpersonal sensitivity was significant. Finally, the sequential mediating effect of socially prescribed perfectionism and self-compassion on the relationship between dysfunctional parenting and interpersonal sensitivity was significant. Implications of the findings and some interventions are discussed, and the limitations and suggestions for future research are presented.
