The purpose of this study is to analysing the recognition about practical availability of
improvement plan a organization system of special education fundamental curriculum to solve
the problems in constituting the 3 steps of Ⅰ,Ⅱ, and Ⅲ level of the curriculum. To achieve
this purpose, this study select special education teachers who works at special school and/or
special classrooms throughout the country with intent, and inspect and analyse the recognitions
by three times of Delphi method. The results are as follow.
First, special education teachers recognized the dividing of grade-band to special education
fundamental curriculum as same as that of elementary and secondary school and constituting
grade-band by track or level
Second, special education teachers recognized that the contents for each grade-band of special education
fundamental curriculum should be centered on formation of basic life habit and basic contents for
1~2 grade of elementary school, and the other hand, the contents for 3~4 grade and 5~6 grade of
elementary school, 1~3 grade of middle school, and 1~3 grade of high school are should be composed
of alternative contents instead of fundamental contents for curriculum of elementary and secondary
curriculum.
Therefore, special education fundamental curriculum should expand its concept for curriculum
from 3 steps to 5 steps by setting up same grade-band as elementary and secondary school.
And, The contents of curriculum should be centered on formation basic life habit and basic
contents in 1~2 grade of elementary school, but the contents should be substituted by
alternative ones in lieu of fundamental contents of general education curriculum of each grade
level.
