This thesis looked into some problems of demand and supply in terms of elite student-athletes of private academies in unpopular elementary events and suggested some tasks to tackle these problems. For this purpose, a way of qualitative research was incorporated. Study participants were twelve male and female student-athletes of unpopular events in elementary school and their trainers and parents also participated as subsidiary information providers. I gathered information through in-depth interviewing and data collecting, and then analyzed the text. The followings are the details. First, it’s about the demand and supply of student-athletes of unpopular elementary elite sports events. The reasons to avoid unpopular events which cannot make you earn lots of money and be professional sports, playing a role of typical national amateurism not for the individual athletes but for the school and community, distinguishing sport events targeted for people in need, lack of voluntary motives, and so on. Second, it is about the suggested tasks to tackle these problems of demand and supply of those student-athletes mentioned above. To be more specific, educational guidance, building a related system for career, converting unpopular sport events into school sports clubs, introducing a new system for student-athletes to study, gaining diverse programs for voluntary participation, cooperation of school board and improvement of material environment, etc.
