본 연구의 목적은 \'호랑이 문장작성전략\'을 적용하여 초등학교 경도정신지체 학생들의 학업성취도와 메타인지에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 연구에 참여한 대상은 대전광역시에 위치한 초등학교 5학년 경도정신지체 학생 3명이었다. \'호랑이 문장작성전 략\'은 모두 13개 단원으로 구성되어 있으며, 단원별 5단계 과정을 통하여 적용하였다. 본 연구는 대상자간 중다 기초선 설계를 이용하여 전략교수의 효과를 검증하였다. ‘연구 결과 로는 첫째, 경도정신지체 학생들은 \'호랑이 문장작성전략\'을 완전학습 할 수 있었다. 둘째， \'호랑이 문장작성전략\'은 경도정신지체 학생들의 학업성취도에 향상을 가져왔다. 셋째, \'호 랑이 문장작성전략\'은 경도정신지체 학생들의 메타인지에 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 본 연구와 관련하여 보다 더 많은 경도정신지체 학생들을 대상으로 하여 객관적이고 체계적 인 후속 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 학업성취도의 향상을 위해서는 경도정신지체 학생 개인의 특성과 능력에 맞는 다양한 교수 • 학습 전략에 대한 연구가 이루어져야겠다. 전략의 효과가 유지되기 위해서는 문장구조의 지나친 일반화로 인한 오류 수정, 어휘를 획득하는 전략, 문장을 구성하여 하나의 완성된 글로 쓰는 전략을 연계 지도해야 한다.
The purpose of this study was to verify whether the \'Horang-ee Sentence Writing Strategy\' was effective by to elementary school students writing and reading achievement and metacognition. The participants in the study were three 5th grade elementary school students with mild mental retardation who are lived in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The research duration was from 2009 April 13th until September 18th with periods for a total of 20~26 sessions. The program which was applied in the research was \'Horang-ee Sentence Writing Strategy\'. The strategies are composed with 13 units, and it was included in 5 step process per unit. This study ensured the effect of by strategy use of the multiple-baseline design across participants. The strategy was verified the effectiveness in terms of academic achievement assessment, pre/post-tests. For suggestions, further studies might have to hire more participants to verify the research results and more research on this area must be prompted. To maintain the effectiveness of the strategy for the subjects, teaches must not emphasize too much on sentence structures error correction and vocabulary acquisition strategies. Also, constructing a complete sentence writing should be taught.
