This case study aimed to discover the effect Sandtray Therapy on a depressed housewife. I did the therapy with a full-time housewife who has a depressive disposition. Her depression was caused by her lack of confidence in child rearing. She also experienced a lack of caring from her own parents during her childhood. I adopted Sandtray Therapy for 29 of her 30 therapy sessions. In order to do a quantitative investigation, I used BDI and the Enneagram test for pre and post test to observe emotional changes during the therapy. In order to do a qualitative investigation, I adopted Sandtray Therapy. Through the present case work, I could confirm a reduction in the level of depression and a settlement of her self-identity. The women could accept herself by expressing her suppressed self-image, her needs and her emotional conflict during Sandtray Therapy. She also overcame her negative feelings regarding maternal instinct.
