The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of happiness of group art therapy programs for mothers
with disabled children. The subjects were divided as an experimental group, 10 and control group, 10. For
the measurement of happiness, I used Ryff(1995), For the measurement of emotion regulation, I used
Korean emotion dysregulation, produced originally by Grats and Roemer(2004). For measurement of meaning
of life, I used the meaning of life measurement tool by Steger, Rrazier, Oishi and Kaler(2006). On the
research, For the theoretical approach, integrated group art therapy was used. A program consists of 10
sessions and each session lasts 90 minutes. The program for improving happiness of mothers with disabled
children should focus on emotion regulation and meaning of life. The group art therapy program was
highly meaningful in improving for emotional control function and meaning of life factors. According the
result of pre and post test of program, were increased emotional control function and meaning of life
factors. In view of whole emotional control function, the control group showed higher mean than the
experimental group and meaning of life, the experimental group showed higher mean than the control
group, also the sense of happiness was enhanced too. Thus, group art therapy program could be assumed
that has effect on enhancement of happiness.
