본 연구에서는 학교공동체를 위한 사회자본이 어떠한지를 밝히는 목적으로 사회자본에 대한 개 념과 구성요소(신뢰, 네트워크, 규범)를 고찰해 보고, 그간 수행된 교육부문에서의 사회자본에 대 한 연구동향을 분석하여 학교공동체를 위한 사회자본 측정도구를 개발하였다. 국내외 연구자들의 문헌 분석, 선행연구 검토 그리고 수차례에 걸친 의견수렴과정을 통하여 우 리나라 학교공동체에서 요구되는 사회자본의 범주로서 3개의 하위영역 신뢰, 네트워크, 규범으로 범주화하였다. 이들 구성요소를 기초로 신뢰는 사람에 대한 신뢰와 제도에 신뢰로 구성하고 측정 하는 문항은 10개, 네트워크는 의사소통, 학교참여, 사회적 관계로 구성하고 측정하는 문항은 28 개, 규범은 호혜성과 사회적 통제로 구성하고 측정하는 문항은 12개로 총50개였다. 이렇게 개발된 사회자본 측정도구를 사용하여 학교에서 어떤 사회자본이 부족한지 알아낼 수 있고, 부족한 요인 에 대한 육성방안과 실천적인 전략을 모색할 수 있다. 이를 통해 학교공동체 형성을 위해 필요한 사회자본 요인이 무엇인가를 밝힘으로써 부족한 사회자본을 어떻게 형성시킬 것인가에 대한 정책 적 논의의 기초를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구대상을 전북지역에 있는 학교구성원들에 한정해서 조사되었다. 사회자본의 육성은 학교를 중핵으로 하여 가정, 지역사회 등이 서로 네트워 크 형성을 통한 역할 분담을 통하여 육성하도록 해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서는 교과별로 부족한 사회자본을 어떻게 형성시킬 것인가에 대한 구체적 실천전략을 강구할 필요가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to identify formation of social capital for a school community. Social capital can be defined as a shared norm, trust and value, and a network among people to promote cooperation from a variety of group activities and interactions with other people. The researcher reviewed literature on the social capital part of education and interviewed experts in this field and teachers. As a result of this progress, seven factors social capital were determined: trust (personal trust and system trust), network (communication, school participation, social relationship), norm (reciprocity, social control). The factors of social capital consists of 50 items. The trust factors consist of 10 items, the network factors consists of 28 items, the norms factors consists of 12 items and 50 items respectively. This study is aimed at analyzing research trends, developing a social capital questionnaire for a school community. It is imperative that we establish a cooperative relationship among the members for a breakthrough in times of the crisis. It is very important to change the school community spirit from private faith. The formation of social capital is necessary to improve partnership in a school community. To foster social capital, the function of school education must be emphasized. We need to draw an all-agreeable definition of social capital by constructing a theoretical framework and developing more objective and accurate tools for social capital measurement in the future.
