Recently, the area of early special education has been more focused on individual need
s of children with disabilities which have function in real life and environments.
The naturalistic intervention serve children with disabilities in natural environments that
using play and other developmental appropriate activities as learning opportunities. The p
urpose of this study is to clarify the concept of naturalistic intervention and find out the
practical factors which involve in naturalistic intervention process.
Following factors provide a guide to implementing a naturalistic intervention:(1) the
naturalistics assessment contains functionally relevant behavioral item that should link to
naturalistic curriculum, (2) the naturalistic intervention can be included with the functional
curriculum like Activity-Based Intervention, (3) instruction in natural environments necess
arily involve naturalistic teaching strategies, (4) the outcomes of the naturalistics interventi
on can be concreted by embedding the individual goals into the natural routines and activ
ities.
