최근 장애학생의 고등교육의 기회 확대는 대학 교육의 질적인 현안과 관계된다. 본 연구는 장애 학생의 원활한 대학 생활을 위하여 당사자들이 지원과 관계하여 대학에서 겪는 경험과 바람직한 지원 방안을 알아보고자 장애대학생 15명을 대상으로 핵심그룹면담을 실시하였다. 연구 참여자의 장애 유형은 청각장애, 시각장애, 지체장애였다. 핵심그룹면담을 통한 자료를 질 적 분석한 결과는 (1) 대학 내 지원의 경험: 좌절과 희망 (2) 대학 내 지원 요구: 생활과 학업, 편의 시설 그리고 앎과 소통 (3) 대학 내 지원센터: 우려와 기대. 3개의 주요 주제로 도출되었다. 논의와 결론에서는 장애대학생의 의미 있는 대학생활 지원을 위한 실제적 변화의 방향을 제시하였고 지원 체계와 관련된 후속연구를 제언하였다.
It is increased that the college students with a disability have an opportunity to study more advanced field, recently. That was related to a qualitative pending problem of college education. The study was conducted to investigate whether the supports and facilities of university was appropriate to college students with disabilities, to understand the experience of the students with disabilities in school life and to establish the strategy for helping them. The focus group interview was implemented by 15 college students with a disability. The disability types of participated students were hearing impairment, visual disorder, and physical disorder. The results of qualitative analysis through the focus group interview are as following: 1) the experience of support-service systems within university, 2) the request of support- service systems within university and 3) an image of the future of support-service systems. The practical change and direction of support-service systems for helping the students with a disability were discussed and the related future research of systematic support was suggested.
