The Concept of Hahn has been regarded as an universal emotion of korean people. However there have been some ambiguities in defining the concept of Hahn among nursing scholars. Therefore it was time to analyse the concept of Hahn for clearer definition to be able to share the meaning of Hahn among scholars. So this study was attempt to analyse the concept of Hahn and to do it according to a series of concept development processes described by Walker & Avant. As the result of this study, the attributes, precedence and consequence of Hahn were as follows : 1. Attributes 1) Oppression 2) Irreversibility 3) Pain (Agony) 4) Uncontrolability 5) Internalization (Turning against oneself) 6) Patience 7) Self-accusation(Depreciation) 8) Withdrawal 2. Precedence Psychic trauma 1) wrong discrimination 2) Serious or relative deprivation 3) Unrevocable mistake 3. Consequence Resignation 1) Depression 2) Sensitive interpersonal relationship 3) Apathy This study of Hahn will facillitate building korean nursing knowledge based on the worldview and emotion of korean people.
