The purpose of this study was to examine the meaning and task of youth international cooperation activity focused on the project for the establishment of Korea-Palestine youth centre in Hebron, Palestine as an official development assistance(ODA) project with Korean International Cooperation Agency(KOICA).
This case has significant meanings as follows; This project has a different significance in the sense that it was the first step which provide a recipient country with youth centre as ODA project with KOICA. According to this project, the concept of youth activity has been changing and expanding from domestic to international activity in the youth field. Expecially, there has a significant difference from another ODA projects, as a total exchange and experience in youth international cooperation.
Meanwhile, the tasks of youth international cooperation activity through this case study as follows; It is necessary to more and more interest and cooperation on youth international cooperation project and program in youth field, Korea. There are many potential points which connected with Korean national youth policy. It is important to secure a budget as an alternative youth activity in the future. To construct a network among ministries of our government is also important. Future tasks regarding youth international cooperation project were also discussed including education and development program on experts to help international exchange program with UNESCO and relative experts groups.
