This research studies the relations among parental meta-emotion parenting style, child's
ambivalence over emotion expressiveness, and social skill, for parents and school This research
conducted correlation analysis of the collected from the survey using SPSS program. The
research results are summarized as follows:Firstly, according to the general tendencies of
parental meta-emotion parenting style, emotion coaching parenting style is the highest among
mothers, followed by dismissing parenting style, disapproving parenting, laissez-faire parenting
style. On the other hand, among fathers dismissing parenting style is the highest, followed by
laissez-faire parenting style, disapproving parenting style, emotion coaching parenting style.
Secondly, study shows that meta-emotion parenting style has correlation with child’s ambivalence
over emotion expressiveness, and social skill. Thirdly, parental meta-emotion parenting
style has significant impact on child's ambivalence over emotion expressiveness statistically.
Fourthly, meta-emotion parental style has significant impact on social skill statistically. Finally,
child's ambivalence over emotion expressiveness has significant impact on social skill statistically.
