Although several studies verified the relationship between disabled children's abuse and developmental problems, there is no official statistics related with child abuse of children with disabilities and little systematic approaches to protect their rights in Korea. The purpose of this study was to review researches and political efforts on abuse of children with disabilities and to suggest practitional implications. In Korea, the Child Welfare Law reformed and the child abuse prevention center was established in 2000. The services for child abuse have improved the number of centers and professional staffs. However, current systems for abused children is focused on children with no disabilities and vague lines of roles and responsibilities in preparation of child protection service for abused children with disabilities. Therefore, facilities and equipment at national level are needed to provide appropriate intervention for abused children with disabilities.
