In the rapidly changing society, the problem of family disorganization has newly
come to the fore and the number of single-parent families is increasing in a short
time. Yet the parties in marriage and their children in dismantling families are
suffering a lot on this account, the real state is that our society still has not any
special countermeasure to handle with the problem.
Hence, I would like to suggest a social welfare intervention matching with their
psychosocial features affected by maladjustment of the child’s everyday life in
single-parent families as follows. First, the programs which enhances child’s
self-esteem in single-parent families should be developed and spread as soon as
possible. Second, various measures to cultivate sense of ownership through role
activity should be devised. And third, for the purpose of betterment of satifaction
level about family life child in single-parent families, ongoing counseling and
various outdoor activity programs that can protect the child even on holidays
should be offered to ensure the supports from outside together with one from their
family.
