본 연구는 만 1세 영아반의 놀이중심 배변학습 과정에서의 영아의 경험을 심층적으로 이해하고 영아 에게 있어 놀이중심 배변학습의 교육적 의미를 탐색해 봄으로써, 영아의 양육과 보육에 교육적 시사 점을 주고 현장의 영아반 교사들과 처음 영아반을 맡게 되는 교사들이 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 17～26개월(2012년 3월 기준)의 명랑한반 영아 10명과, 담임교 사 2명이이며, 2012년 3월부터 11월까지 총 9개월간 참여관찰, 비디오 녹화, 면담, 보육일지, 관찰일 지 등의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 생성된 자료를 토대로 분석한 결과, 만 1세 영아반의 놀이중심 배변학습 과정에서의 영아의 경험은, 응가가 궁금해요 / 변기에서 할 수 있어요 / 혼자 할 수 있어요 로 나타났으며, 놀이중심 배변학습의 교육적 의미는, 놀이를 통해 낯선 상황에의 적응을 도움 / 실패 에 대한 부담의 경감과 성취감의 증진 / 구체적 경험을 통한 학습의 기회 제공 / 정서적 공감과 언어 적 소통의 극대화 / 스스로를 통제하고 조절하는 기초 능력의 형성으로 나타났다.
This study was performed, through qualitative analysis, to provide educational insight into the caring and rearing of infants, specifically the educational meaning behind play-centered toilet learning. The research was conducted through observation of a class of one year old infants. The participants in this study were 5 boys and 5 girls, ages 17 months to 26 months (as of March, 2012). During the period of 9 months, from March to November 2012, we collected and analyzed data from participant observations, individual interviews, nursery diaries and child care assessments. The analysis of generated data, for the one year old infant class. Considered of I wonder what is poo? I can defecate in the toilet and I can manage it by myself. Next, the educational meaning behind play-centered toilet learning for the one year old infant class, Showed the ability to adapt to a strange environment. A decline of the fear of failure and promotion of a sense of accomplishment, Along with educational opportunities through specific experiences. In addition, the maximization of sharing and communication with friends and teachers, aided in the development of a strong basis of self-control.
