The main objective of the study was to investigative alternative ways to calculate growth rate
using Korean CBM math. One of the unique features of using CBM measures in classroom is that it
is commonly administered weekly. However, such a feature would make classroom teachers reluctant
to administer math CBM measures. For this reason, this study examined procedural modifications in
estimating CBM slope. Students in grades 2-3 were participated in this study. CBM math measures
were administered over 10 weeks. CBM slopes were estimated using OLS regression method. The
results from this study showed that the odd or even week schedule allowed for estimating the most
valid and reliable growth rate in CBM math. Finally, implications are discussed for future research
and practice.
