The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the patriotism program which was implemented for the young school age adolescents For this, this study conducted a series of the perception surveys targeted to those who attended the program and those not. The methodology used for the analysis are the mean difference test and the structrual equation modeling analysis. The model this study tested in terms of student’s perception toward the nation consists of the factors such as the degree of self esteem, the attitude to voluntary participation, and the will to be part of the societal action. A particular emphasis is given to the changes in perception due to the program participation and its effect on the attitude on the future action for the society. According to the result of the response analysis, this study finds that the attitude on the future action the students may take for the society is in fact determined by the degree to which they find their self esteem, the degree to which they value the various patriotic actions and the degree to which they are affect by the program they participated. In fact, this study finds big differences in perception about the various isses that are related to the patriotic behaviors between those who attended the program and those not. This study concludes that the program implemented by the Institute does have strong positive effect on the student attitude toward the society and the nation overall. With that this study suggests the following policy recommendations for furthering the program. The educational program as such needs to target young students. Second, the subject and its contents need to be set up appropriately to the levels of the knowledge and age of the students. Third. the program may be extended to those of teachers and parent because they are ones who effectively persuade them in knowledge and behavior.
